Sanctoras needed an interactive UK Statutory Residence Test indicator designed to give users an initial indication of their UK residence status based on current legislation. The tool was positioned for scenario planning, with clear disclaimers that it was indicative only, not conclusive, and that users should seek specific advice before relying on the result.

The project needed to convert a specific statutory flowchart into an interactive questionnaire that non-specialist users could work through step by step. It had to handle branching logic, automatic UK resident and automatically non-UK resident outcomes, UK ties checklists, day-count thresholds, back/restart controls, definitions for technical terms, and a final summary of the user's responses.

Standish Services built a fully interactive questionnaire that followed the required flowchart logic. The tool presents one question at a time, stores user responses, allows users to go back or restart, displays definitions for key statutory residence terms, calculates relevant UK day-count thresholds based on the user's answers, and produces an indicative result.

Sanctoras gained a practical interactive tool that turns a complex residence-status decision process into a guided digital experience.
